Favorite Pins Friday

It's Friday, Friends!

Kacey from Doodle Bugs is taking a much deserved break from her Five for Friday linky.  So, the amazing Cara from The First Grade Parade is hosting a Favorite Pins linky.  Love this!

I spend SO much time on Pinterest and other social media that it's not even funny!  Here are my favorite pins from this week.

Favorite Teaching Pins:

I thought that this was such a clever way to learn and review main idea.  I will definitely be trying this out next year.  This came from Joyful Learning in KC.  Click here to view her incredible post.

I thought that this was the coolest thing ever!  Not only is it a GREAT connection between history and reading, but what an impact on your student's learning to actually see the news article. I will be digging through the archive to find some for my little ones. Click here to view the Times Machine.
Times Machine is a wonderful database of New York Times articles that allows students to access exact digital copies of the famous newspaper dating back to 1851. With articles about everything from the sinking of the Titanic to death of President Lincoln. What a great way to integrate reading into your social studies lessons!

I had a "Where are We" board that I made on thin poster board last year.  The arrow that I used to point to where we were came off the first week of school.  I never found it.  This idea is SO much better.  I will be getting my DIY on soon and creating this.  This pin was from Miss Kindergarten.  Click here to see how she created her board.

Meet the Teacher night for us is coming up really quickly. I thought that this was a cute idea!  This adorable idea came from Monarch Madness.  Click here to view this great idea.

Cute Meet the Teacher idea. There are some good ideas here.

Brayden Pins:

Be still my heart!  I want this when Brayden gets old enough to write. How cute is this?  I know that I would NEVER take it off.  ADORABLE and SWEET! Click here to view it.
your child's handwriting. OMG i would never take it off.

I love me some fried pickles!  Now, if only I can find the time to cook some up.  This recipe was courtesty of Paula Deen.  Click here to get your fried pickle craving.
FRIED DILL PICKLES

I'd love to have this on my bed.  Gorgeous and such a sweet idea! Click here to purchase your a set.
So cute!

We are in the process of remodeling our home.  I saw this on Pinterest and thought it would be TERRIFIC for my little one to get snacks when he needs them.  The link went straight to the picture, no website.  I had to share though.
Mini fridge in island for the kids,or for extra coldspace needed for holidays & special occasion prep/booze.

I could keep showing y'all pins all day. Haha!  You'll just have to wait until next Friday! ;-)

I hope everyone has a great day!

Lots of love,
