First, I'm feeling a little sad today. This is my last week of summer vacation. I'm really going to miss spending all day with my little munchkin'. I really do love my job and I can't wait to meet my new set of students. I just can't believe that summer is over. I'll be fine once I get into the rhythm of going back to work. For now, I'm spending every minute with him. He starts daycare on Monday. Worried mom right here!
Second, I had a BLAST at the Carolina blogger meet-up. I only got to meet these sweet gals for lunch, but it was so much fun. It was great to finally put a face to a blog. I only took a couple of pictures. Ginger from Ginger Snaps was the photographer. As soon as she gives me some pictures, I'll share all the fun we had.
Amanda from Teaching Maddeness was our FANTASTIC hostess. She gave us little goodie bags with a "G-Vegas" theme. We call Greenville, SC "G-Vegas". I have know idea why. We just do. She is so creative. I'd truly love to watch her teach.
Last, Melonheadz created a clip art set of the crew from Duck Dynasty. I've already blogged and told you my LOVE for this show. I'd love to meet them. They are such down to earth people. Anyway, when I saw what she created I had to buy it. So, I created a fact and opinion packet that I cannot wait to use with my kiddos. Click the picture below to check it out.
The winners were Kelli and Cara. Thanks for leaving me some comments, friends! It's great to see so many Duck Dynasty fans.
Lots of love,
I love Duck Dynasty! I would love to win your fact and opinion pack!

Too stinkin' cute! I LOVE Duck Dynasty as well. My daughter started school today, so I know how you feel about your little munchkin starting next week. When we were getting her a lunch box this weekend, we asked her what kind she wanted and she said "Duck Dynasty Princess one!" Ha! Let me also say I am super jealous of your blogger meet up. Ultimately, my husband and I want to move to Greenville. We had planned to move several years ago, but our buyer for our place down here fell through at the last minute and we couldn't move. We had to give up our positions up there. : ( (My husband is a teacher as well.) Hopefully, we'll be able to move up there soon. Fingers crossed.

ReplyDeleteMy my- you are a quick worker. Jeannie thanks for creating this pack. Fact and opinion is often difficult for our second graders and I think the Duck Dynasty element could make it much more interesting and fun. Have a wonderful school year with your new little friends. Prayers and blessings for you as you send your little one off to daycare.

I love this clip art, I will have to check it out. I live in Louisiana and the Duck Dynasty clan live about an hour away from us in Monroe. Although I have never meet them personally, several of my friends have. They always a really nice things to say about them. They truly are very down to earth people who live fairly simple lives. They also do a lot fundraisers to help out their state and local community. They come to where I live (Shreveport/Bossier) all the time for meet and greets. You can also drive up to their shop anytime and if they are there they will spend time talking to you. My family also loves their show. It is so entertaining. Believe it or not there are hunters like that all around northern part of Louisiana. That is so considered normal {ha}!
